Given a set of Twitter tweets from a given day, we want to determine the peak number of people that are playing a video game that day. When blockbuster games are released, thousandsd of people on Twitter are talking about it by posting impressions, pictures, and videos. The excitement from the release is also shown in the number of users playing that video game. But as the release date drifts further away, tweet volume and sentiment die down as people finish the main story or stop playing altogether. So our goal with this project is to predict the correlation between features of tweets about a certain video game and the number of players who played it that day and moving forward.

Everybody has been in a meeting, listened to a conference keynote, or sat in a lecture hall, where many words and phrases are constantly repeated. The repetition of these buzzwords can become tiresome and frustrating, making it hard to pay attention, especially when not everyone wants to be there in the first place. This is where Buzzword Bingo comes in to alleviate the boredom.

This iOS app allows you to play Bingo using a custom board of different buzzwords for any topic you want. A solo play option is available for passing the time, but competing with other colleagues or friends in the same meeting through multiplayer is even more fun. Once you get Bingo on the board, in order to complete your win, you are given a random word that you must find a way to say in the meeting. Buzzword Bingo is a great way to liven up every meeting, lecture, and more.

CourseSurfer is a project that went as far as the prototype and data-gathering stage. At the time, the Stanford University ExploreCourses interaction was not something that was enjoyed by the students, and my roommate and I wanted to make something better that also took student input. We set out to create a searchable course catalog that would also provide course recommendations, allow students to manage a four-year plan for college, and show ratings and workloads of each class.

Basic layouts were created and tested, and course data with reviews were also obtained. However, the project fizzled out as the ExploreCourses interface improved and we moved on to other projects.

This is a social network website built in Java where people can show off their intellectual prowess by taking quizzes on a wide range of subjects. Users are able to create quizzes with varying question formats (Fill-in-the-Blank, Multiple Choice, etc.) as well as take quizzes and compete with their friends.
